How ordering and paying for Liddy works

Liddy is made to order in shared production runs of 1,000 sets and sold FOB Yantian (Shenzhen). You pay in two parts that follow the factory's own schedule, and nothing is taken until the run your order joins is placed.

01 When you pay

  1. You sign a letter of intent. It holds your place and is non-binding. No payment.
  2. Your run reaches 1,000 sets and is placed. You send us your purchase order; we confirm it and send a proforma invoice for the 30% deposit, due within 7 days. The factory starts once deposits are in.
  3. Production. Ready to ship about 45 days after the run is placed, plus 45 days of tooling ahead of the first run. We send you production photos to approve before anything ships.
  4. Ready to ship. We send the commercial invoice and packing list for the 70% balance, due within 7 days of our ready-to-ship notice and before the goods are released.
  5. Released to your forwarder at Yantian. From the ship's rail onward the goods are yours, and we send the shipping documents.

02 How you pay

Each invoice comes by email from Liddy through Stripe, in US dollars, and carries your purchase order number. Pay it by ACH bank debit or bank transfer; both are low-cost and leave a clear record. Card payment is accepted on invoices up to US$2,500; larger invoices are paid by ACH or bank transfer.

Each part you pay goes to the factory for your goods once it has cleared. That is why the schedule matches the factory's, and why Liddy never asks you to pay before your run is real.
